The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) is a professional organization for sexuality focused educators, counselors and therapists. They offer Professional Members as well as a certification program, conferences, community forums and much more. Sexuality Information & Educator Council of the United States (SIECUS) was founded in 1964 and provides education and information about sexuality and sexual and reproductive health. They offer sexual education resources through their site SexEdLibrary.org and CommunityActionKit.org and are a great resource for those looking to provide sexual education services. Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) began in 1994 and promotes research and education in the field of sexuality. Their resources are a great help to professionals committed to clinical sexual health. They have an additional site for helpful sexual health resources through SexHealthMatters.org.

Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance focuses on advancing the well-being, rights and autonomy of sexuality through advocacy, education and action. They provide videos and podcasts from events and special projects, as well as connections to related resources such as organizations, publications and an extensive bibliography. Society for Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR) was founded in 1975 and is a community of sexual health professionals with a focus on sexual clinical research. Primary professionals are for clinicians who treat problems of sexual function, sexual identity, and reproductive life. SSTAR provides annual meetings, clinical conferences, membership newsletters, and an e-mail list-serv for members. The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) provides resources in the area of women's sexuality for professionals through professional membership, meetings, promotion of related achievements and books as well as ISSWSH awards to those in the field of women's sexuality.

The Sex Information and Education Council of Canada was founded in 1964 to provide resources for professionals in the field of sexuality. Membership provides access to professional sexual health information and related sexual health services. Their site provides resources and links to other sexual health organizations. The World Association for Sexual Health is a membership organization of individual supporting members and organizations. A great resource for activism in the field of sexology. Membership provides a subscription to the International Journal of Sexual Health and a the discounted subscription to SexualHealthVisual.com which is an incredibly rich resource of education in the field of sexuality.

The International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM, formerly known as ISIR/ISSIR) began in 1978 for the purpose exploring sexual dysfunction in men but has since evolved into clinical exploration of human sexuality as a whole. They provide membership, journals, resources, conferences, and sharing of valuable information in the field of sexuality such as case studies.

Society for Women's Health Research was founded in 1990 by physicians, medical researchers and health advocates to bring attention to diseases and conditions that uniquely affect women and work to advance the field of sex-based biology. They offer grants, awards, membership, conferences and education. Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS) was founded in 1957 dedicated to the study of sexuality and catering to such professions that deal in sexual health such as anthropologists, biologists, educators, historians, nurses, physicians, psychologists, sociologists, theologians, therapists, and other disciplines. Offers membership, a newsletter, conferences and has an award program. The International Academy of Sex Research is a society of professionals in the field of sexual behavior education and research. IASR offers a helpful journal called the Archives of Sexual Behavior. They offer an annual meeting and membership.

European Society for Sexual Medicine focuses on the advancement for research in the field of sexual medicine and does this by giving research and travel grants to clinical and basic scientists. They provide awards, membership, meetings and resources. In addition to this ESSM provides text books for clinical sexology and sexual medicine. They collaborate with EFS. The European Federation of Sexology (EFS) offers conferences, membership and newsletters for the study of sexual health in Europe. They collaborate heavily with ESSM and offer exams on clinical sexuality. Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) focuses on providing resources, education and membership for the advancement of equality in healthcare for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals and healthcare providers. They offer the AMSA/GLMA LGBT Health Achievement Award and an annual conference.

World Professional Association for Transgender Health promotes resources in transgender health. They provide events, membership, news and provider resources. National Council on Family Relations was founded in 1938 and focuses solely on family research, practice and education. They offer certification, membership, resources, news and conferences. They offer education and resources regarding sexually related topics such as sexual roles, same-sex marriage, sexuality and teens and much more.
